I seem to have a running theme across my blog posts at the moment. I went to see the World Press Photo at Royal Festival Hall last week. This year's exhibition showcases work from photographers of 23 nationalities, selected from over 108,000 entries. The winning photographs encompass the horrors of war, contemporary issues, people in the news, sport, the arts and the natural world, providing an overview of our world.
Read more...Famine in the Horn of Africa was big news a few months ago but although media attention on the crisis has faded, the situation is still very serious for millions of people. The Egyptian-based infographics and data visualization lab, Bayanat, got in touch with us about collaborating to put the Horn of Africa back in the spotlight again. The result is an infographic highlighting the need, responses so far and what we can still do to help.

As any web developer will tell you, IE browsers are notorious for being rogue browsers. They have previously (at least up to IE6 and IE7) adhered to their own standards which meant you essentially had to have two versions of your website - the non-IE (for all other browsers) and IE version.
