A day for members and friends to celebrate the wood and plan for the future, activities include face-painting, feasting, shopping, Woodland Wildlife Safaris, a Fancy Dress competition and several more. As October slowly rolls to a close, I'm reflecting on Sunday 2nd Oct 2011 – an absolutely splendid day. I decided to spend my precious day off at Brockwell Park in a desperate attempt to soak up the last rays of sun for my final boost of Vitamin D for the winter months. I happened to park myself and my bike close to the Community Greenhouses; luckily for me volunteers at the Community Greenhouses were hosting an event.

A little over a week ago, I travelled to Wales to run a workshop with university students, on design for good. Specifically exploring how graphic design can contribute to positive change.
It was a rewarding day. The students were engaged, creative and humorous, and I can't wait to see what they come up with in response to the term-long brief I've set them.
