"I'd rather have a bottle in front of me that a full frontal lobotomy" - Alexis Snell
On a recommendation from my family I had a look at Pickled Ink's site and looked up Alexis Snell. As children we grew up in Yorkshire on the same street, and she babysat for me occasionally.
She now lives in London and is an illustrator and printmaker. She works in lino, sometimes adding water colour or gouache to complete the print. For inspiration, she looks to old matchbox covers, record sleeves, tea boxes, postcards, explorers, circus's, every film she can get her hands on, and 'Its nice that', where she has recently featured.

I love her work and hope her every success. But with this body of work I think she is sure to be in popular demand. I have featured some of my favourite pieces on this blogpost. I think a lot of her stuff is for sale, and you can view more here on her website.
